Vision and mission
π Vision
Fifty percent of the US population has a chronic disease, creating an epidemic, 86% of healthcare costs are attributed to this healthcare crisis. Combined with a shortage of healthcare professionals, rising healthcare costs and increased demand for personalised care, the need for cheaper, personalised and proactive healthcare is the biggest crisis affecting the US.
π§ Mission
π‘ Decrease the cost to predict, diagnose and prevent chronic disease by two orders of magnitude.
With more and more data being collected from wearables, lab tests and patient-doctor exchanges, weβre entering an area of healthcare where data is abundant. With this abundance of data, weβre on the cusp of being able to predict diseases earlier than ever and weβre seeing earlier signs of this.
Phase 1
1οΈβ£ Building the Foundation: Best-in-class Unified Health Data Infrastructure
The first phase of the company is to build the data infrastructure that serves as the backbone for the digital health industry. This infrastructure is designed to seamlessly aggregate and integrate health data from health records, device data and lab data, enabling digital healthcare companies to scale their operations efficiently and provide personalized care to millions of patients.
Objectives:
Comprehensive Data Aggregation: Develop a platform that consolidates data from electronic health records (EHRs), wearable devices, and laboratory tests. Facilitating a holistic view of patient health, capturing real-time biometrics, historical health records, and diagnostic results.
Ensure Reliability and Scalability: Build a system architecture that supports high-volume data processing with minimal latency, ensuring that digital healthcare companies can access and utilize health data in real-time.
Support Data-Driven Decision Making: Offer analytics and visualization tools that help healthcare providers and digital health companies extract meaningful insights from the aggregated data. These tools should support clinical decision-making, operational improvements, and personalized patient care planning.
Phase 2
2οΈβ£ Empower Precision Health - Unlocking Predictive Insights for Early Intervention
The second phase is to leverage the foundational data infrastructure to power a new era of disease prediction and prevention. By developing and deploying advanced analytics, machine learning models, across electronic health records, wearable device metrics, and lab resultsβto identify early indicators of chronic diseases and other health conditions.
Objectives:
Develop Predictive Analytics Tools: Create sophisticated algorithms that can analyze diverse health data sets to predict potential health issues years before they manifest clinically. These tools will help healthcare providers intervene much earlier than currently possible.
Integrate AI-driven Insights into Clinical Practice: Make it seamless for healthcare professionals to access and act upon these predictive insights within their existing workflows. This includes integrating with electronic health records (EHRs), supporting decision-making in clinical settings, and personalizing patient care plans.
Expand Research and Development for Disease Prediction Models: Continuously refine and expand the predictive models by incorporating new data sources, such as genetic information and environmental factors, to improve accuracy and broaden the scope of conditions that can be predicted.
Collaborate with Healthcare Providers and Researchers: Establish partnerships with healthcare institutions, research organizations, and technology innovators to validate and enhance predictive models, ensuring they are clinically relevant and lead to tangible health outcomes.
By successfully implementing Phase 2, Vital will transform the landscape of healthcare from reactive to proactive, significantly reducing the incidence and impact of chronic diseases through early detection and personalized preventive care. This marks a significant step towards the vision of cheaper, better, proactive healthcare for all.
